With life returning to some sense of normality, the OAU and the School are looking forward to welcoming back former students to two Reunion Weekends planned for 2022.
On 18-20 March will be ‘Catchup Reunion Weekend’ – for those year groups who postponed their get-togethers that were due to take place in 2020 and 2021. This happens to be the weekend of the Armidale cricket finals, providing the opportunity for a focal point should the TAS First XI make the local grand final – and if not, the chance for an OAs v School game on the Cricket Oval. There will also be welcome drinks on Friday night at the Hoskins Centre, school tours and the Reunion Dinner in the Dining Hall (40-year leavers and above), with Principal Dr Rachel Horton as special guest.
‘Catchup’ Reunion Weekend – 18-20 March Meanwhile, the reunions for former students whose cohort year ends in a 2 or a 7, will most likely be held on 22-24 July, coinciding with the last rugby home game of the season (against The Scots College). Early plans include welcome drinks on Friday night in the Hoskins Centre, the customary OA v School sporting competitions for the Croft Cup in hockey, shooting, chess, tennis, tug of war, and for the first time netball; the Reunion Dinner in the Dining Hall for 40 year leavers and above, the OAU AGM and Chapel Service.
